The family of Disha Salian, the former manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has written a letter to President Ram Nath Kovind. In their letter, the family has demanded action against Union Minister Narayan Rane and his son Nitesh Rane. The family alleges that politics is being done over the death of their daughter.
Disha Salian, 28, allegedly committed suicide by jumping off a high-rise building in suburban Malad on June 8, 2020. After this, on June 14, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his flat in Bandra. Narayan Rane made a sensational claim on Disha’s death. At a press conference, Rane claimed that Salian was murdered after being gang-raped but Salian’s parents denied it.
According to the letter, the family has said, “We request you to instruct the authorities to take appropriate steps so that we can get justice. Otherwise, we will end our life.” Earlier, Disha’s mother Vasanti Salian made an emotional appeal and appealed to politicians not to malign her name by questioning the circumstances surrounding her daughter’s death.
She said, “I have lost my daughter. These people are defaming us. These people are dragging my daughter’s name into their politics. It should stop. Let us live in peace.” According to reports, apart from Sushant Singh, Disha was also looking after the work of Bharti Singh, Rhea Chakraborty and Varun Sharma. Last year, the Mumbai Police closed the investigation into the Disha case. Police say that nothing unusual was seen in Disha’s death. Police say that no connection was found in the death of Disha and Sushant Singh as alleged.
