Former Congress President and MP Rahul Gandhi on Saturday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asking if he understood the remarks made by US Vice President Kamala Harris about protecting democracy and institutions.
Actually, Rahul Gandhi, sharing a video of US Vice President Kamala Harris’s remark, asked in an Instagram post, “Did he get it?”
In a joint address to the media with Prime Minister Modi, Harris said, “It is imperative that we defend democratic principles and institutions in our respective countries and around the world and are determined to strengthen democracy in our respective countries.” Obviously protecting democracy is in the best interest of the citizens of our countries.”
Prime Minister Modi is on a visit to the US and had discussions with Kamala Harris at the White House and also met President Joe Biden. During this, the two leaders emphasized on strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries and discussed issues of mutual and global interest. Describing the election of Indian-origin Kamala Harris as historic, PM Modi invited her to come to India.
