Delhi Police registered an FIR against Deoghar DC under sedition charges a day after BJP MP Nishikant Dubey booked in Deoghar for entering ATC room

The controversy over entering the ATC room of Deoghar airport in Jharkhand seems to be increasing continuously. In this regard, a case has been registered against 9 people including BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, Manoj Tiwari. Now an FIR has been registered in Delhi on the complaint of BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and sedition charges have been leveled against the District Commissioner (DC) of Deoghar. Delhi’s North Avenue Police has registered zero FIR. This FIR will be sent to Kunda police station in Jharkhand for further investigation.

This whole matter is about security at Deoghar airport. It is alleged that both the leaders forcibly entered the ATC building of the airport along with some people. Regarding this matter, a DSP rank officer posted in airport security has filed a case against both of them by giving a written complaint in Deoghar. It is alleged that BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey and Manoj Tiwari entered the Air Traffic Control (ATC) room in Deoghar without permission and allegedly pressurized the airport authorities to approve the take-off of the chartered plane.

Significantly, BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey, Manoj Tiwari and Kapil Mishra had reached Deoghar on a chartered plane on September 1. These BJP leaders had gone to meet the family members of Ankita murder case. After returning from Dumka, BJP leaders reached Deoghar airport. The flight was allowed here only till 5:30 pm, but the MP forcibly pressed for clearance at 6.17 pm and the matter reached the police station. Deoghar airport director Sandeep Dhingra has also been named in the FIR.

MP Nishikant Dubey lodged a zero FIR at Delhi’s North Avenue Police Station against Manjunath Bhajantri, District Commissioner of Deoghar, on charges of sedition and other charges. A case has been registered in this case under sections 124A, 353, 448, 201, 506, 120B IPC and Official Secret Act. Deoghar DC Manjunath and other policemen have been made accused in the case.

Dubey later said he has got an FIR registered in Delhi against the Deoghar DC under the Official Secrets Act and various sections of the IPC. He also asked if Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren had given the DC a contract to “abuse central government establishment”.

“The airport authority which is operating the airport @aaideoghar has a case against director Sandeep Dhingra. I have asked for CCTV in which DC Deoghar is threatening Dhingra. Has Hemant Soren given contract to abuse central government establishment,” the MP further tweeted.

On September 2, Bhajantri in a letter to the principal secretary, cabinet-coordination (civil aviation), Jharkhand, said that after boarding the plane, the pilot came out of the plane and started walking towards the ATC.

He said that on August 31, the local sunset timing was 6.03pm, while the chartered flight took off at 6.17pm when air services are to be conducted up to 5.30pm at the Deoghar airport.
