Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) spokesperson and Maharashtra government minister Nawab Malik on Tuesday approached the zonal Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) over a case related to Sara Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Shraddha Kapoor. Many serious allegations have been made accusing director Sameer Wankhede of extortion.
Talking to reporters, Malik said, “Sara Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor were called for questioning. Till date, there is no charge sheet. Nor is the case being closed. Why is it that even after 14 months, the case has not reached its conclusion.” Malik said that the officer deliberately kept the case related to Sara, Deepika and Shraddha open.
Malik said, “Thousands of crores of rupees have been extorted using these cases (against Sara, Deepika and Shraddha). I said extortion was done in Maldives. I also shared pictures (of Wankhede) from Dubai and Maldives. But, he is on the run saying that he has never been to Maldives and Dubai.”
Nawab Malik had said that, as per the information available with me, as soon as Wankhede (Sameer Wankhede) joined this department, he raised a private army of his own. Kiran Gosavi, Manish Bhanushali, Fletcher Patel, Adil Usmani, Sam D’Souza are all players of that private army.
He alleged that this private army indiscriminately trades drugs in the city. Small cases are exposed and people are implicated. Thousands of crores of rupees have been collected by Wankhede.
Meanwhile, Nawab Malik has also shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp chat on social media. Along with this, he claimed that this is a chat between Sameer Wankhede’s sister Jasmeen and a drug peddler. Sharing the screenshot of the WhatsApp chat, he wrote in his tweet, “Screenshot of the WhatsApp chat between Yasmeen Dawood Wankhede (sister of NCB official Sameer Dawood Wankhede) and a drug peddler. Question arises, is this morally, ethically and legally right?”
Let us tell you that Nawab Malik had earlier shared some pictures taken from Jasmeen’s Instagram, claiming that both she and Sameer Wankhede had gone to Dubai and Maldives to extort money from Bollywood stars.
Significantly, in September last year, the Narcotics Control Bureau had summoned Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone for questioning in the drug racket case. The central government agency had also summoned Sara Ali Khan, who made her Bollywood debut with Sushant Singh Rajput.
