Amidst the ongoing politics in Maharashtra, the Chief Minister of the state Uddhav Thackeray has handed over the portfolios of the nine ministers staying in the hotel in Guwahati to other ministers. According to an official statement, Thackeray said the portfolios of the rebel ministers are being given to other ministers to ease the running of the administration.
Thackeray said that the work related to public interest should go on without any hindrance, so the portfolios of 5 cabinet and 4 ministers of state have been handed over to other ministers. The Urban Development Ministry of Eknath Shinde was handed over to Subhash Desai. The portfolio of Gulabrao Patil has been given to Anil Parab. On the other hand, the portfolio of Dadaji straw and Sandipan Bhumre has been given to Shankarrao Gadakh, the department of Uday Samant has been given to Aaditya Thackeray.
Amidst all this, today a big claim has been made by the Shinde faction. Rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde has claimed in his petition filed in the Supreme Court that he has the support of 38 MLAs. In the petition, he has said that 38 members of the Legislature Party of Shiv Sena have withdrawn their support to the Maha Vikas Aghadi government. In such a situation, the MVA government of Maharashtra has lost its majority.
