‘Clubhouse App’ chat case: After ‘Sulli Deals’ and ‘Bulli Bai’ app, there has been a ruckus about the audio-chat application ‘Club House’ app. The Cyber Department (West) of Mumbai Police has taken immediate action in the context of objectionable remarks about Muslim women on the ‘Clubhouse’ app. Within 24 hours of receiving the complaint, the accused in the ‘Clubhouse’ app controversy has been arrested from Karnal in Haryana while 2 youths have been taken into custody.
According to information received from the cyber cell of Mumbai Police, the moderator of 2 groups KLA XD alias Akash (19 years) was arrested from Karnal on the ‘Clubhouse’ app. Cyber Police has got 3 days transit remand. Further legal action will be taken by bringing the accused to Mumbai. Apart from this, the police have detained 21-year-old Jaishnav Kakkar and Yash Parashar. Both of them will also be produced in the court for transit remand.
In the case, Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi tweeted on Friday morning and praised the Mumbai Police for the arrests in this case.
It is worth noting that the Muslim organization Raza Academy has written a letter to the Mumbai Police demanding that they make obscene and objectionable remarks against the women of the Muslim community. Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has demanded from the Mumbai Police that action should be taken against the people running the clubhouse app on the lines of Bulli Bai.
Police Commissioner Dr Rashmi Karandikar ordered for investigation
Police Commissioner of Mumbai Police Cyber Department, Dr Rashmi Karandikar had given instructions to conduct the investigation by forming a special team and identify the investigation till the end. Cyber police caught the accused without wasting any time. Clubhouse app is a social networking app based on audio chat. Through this app, the user can talk or discuss various issues of his interest with the people of his choice. Interested people on the same issue can also listen to each other’s discussion after mutual consent.
