Amarnath Yatra continues in Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, there was a cloudburst on Friday, due to which there is news of a lot of damage. So far 5 people have been reported dead in this incident, while many people are missing. Immediately after the incident, the NDRF, SDRF and security forces started the rescue operation. Along with this, passengers are being shifted to a safe place. Soon a helpline number will be issued by the Shrine Board.
According to IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar, some langars and tents in the holy cave have been hit by the flow of water. Rescue operation is on by Police, NDRF and SF. The injured are being airlifted for treatment.
On the other hand, there is news of two people being swept away in the flash floods near Darhali drain in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. Rescue operation is on. According to the Joint Police Control Room, a cloudburst was reported at around 5.30 pm in the lower reaches of the Amarnath cave. Rescue operation is on by NDRF, SDRF and other allied agencies.
