News anchor in Hindi news channel ‘Aaj Tak’, has resigned from the channel. She herself has given this information on her Twitter handle. The news of Chitra leaving Aaj Tak has come as a shock for many. After leaving Aaj Tak, she has joined ABP News again. She was seen doing reporting for ABP News from Mulayam Singh’s village Saifai.
Sharing the news, she tweeted, “Where I am today, and where ever I will be in future, ‘Aaj Tak’ will always be with me. Let me put an end to my four and a half year association with the country’s biggest and most illustrious establishment. Many thanks to all my friends at Aaj Tak. What you taught will guide my life forever…”
Chitra Tripathi was associated with this channel for about four and a half years. She is known for her political anchoring/reporting in the industry. Tripathi has been accused of doing propaganda shows in favor of the ruling party.
Tripathi has been at the forefront of Indian TV anchors, often referred to as lapdogs or TV criminals, in fuelling hatred against Muslims in India. She had led a campaign to defame Indian Muslims by blaming them for spreading coronavirus in 2020.
