Child stolen from Mathura railway station found at BJP leader house: A 7-month-old baby, stolen from Mathura Railway Station on August 24, was recovered by Mathura SOG and GRP Police from the house of a BJP woman councilor in Firozabad. After which the police took the councilor and her husband with them to Mathura for questioning. This child was sleeping with his mother at the railway station, when a person picked it up and took it away. This incident was captured in CCTV.
Actually, Radha Rani, a resident of Farah area village Parakham, was sleeping with her husband and family on the night of August 23 with her 7-month-old child on platform number 8 and 9 of Mathura, when someone stole their child at night. When she woke up in the morning on August 24, she could not find the child, after which the parents lodged a complaint of child theft at the GRP police station at Mathura station. After the complaint, the police checked the CCTV camera installed at the station and a man was seen stealing the child. After which the police arrested this person.
After the accused came into the custody of the police, during interrogation, he told that he has sold the child in Firozabad. On the spot of the accused, the police reached the house of Municipal Corporation’s ward number 51 councilor Vinita Agrawal at Bure Wali Gali Ganj intersection of Police Station South area in Firozabad, from where the police recovered the child. The police brought councilor Vinita Agarwal and her husband Krishna Murari Agarwal and other family members with them to Mathura.
Giving more information about this, SP GRP Mushtaq Ahmed said that on 24th, a complaint of child theft was lodged from Mathura station. In this case 6 teams were formed, it was revealed by the teams that a formed gang was behind it. A hospital operator and some ANMs were also involved in this gang. After which the police took action and arrested 8 people.
The child has been safely recovered and handed over to his family members, both the people of Firozabad who had bought the child have also been arrested. According to the information received so far, their entire network is spread in Hathras. Investigation is going on in this, strict action will be taken against the people wherever they are involved and they will be arrested and sent to jail. He said that this incident is unfortunate, but we are constantly briefing our forces so that this kind of incident does not happen in the future.
