‘Cheating Kartha hai ye’: Actor Prakash Raj takes a jibe by sharing the old video of PM Modi about making food items tax free

GST has been increased on food items, now many everyday items will become expensive, which can spoil the budget of the middle class. It is going to have a direct impact on the life of the common man. Veteran Bollywood actor Prakash Raj has targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the GST imposed in the goods of daily needs. While sharing the old video of PM Modi on Twitter, Prakash Raj said that PM is cheating.

In the video, PM Modi is seen saying that earlier wheat, rice, milk, curd, buttermilk were also taxed. Today after GST, all these have become tax free. In the caption of this video, Prakash Raj wrote, “Cheating Kartha hai ye… Cheating”. … Who should say this to whom.?” Many people have reacted to Prakash Raj’s tweet. A user tweeted, “Andhbakht Gobar bhakts Papa Master stroke to break Indian economy to full extent. But even Gobar bhakts will again give vote in 2024.”

Another user wrote, “Politicians and their u turns are as old as our civilisation. We are as stupid as our forefathers and their forefathers to believe them.” A user tweeted, “Who can lie better & more frequently than Modi?”

Let us tell you that on July 18, GST has been imposed on everyday things across the country. This decision was taken in the 47th meeting of the GST Council held in Chandigarh. Now 5 per cent GST has been imposed on packed curd, lassi, buttermilk, paneer, flour and rice. Although no GST has been levied on dairy products that are sold freely, these new rates are currently applicable only on packed products.
