Amid Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s repeated attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s education qualification and degree, Bollywood actress Kajol has also taken a sly dig at the politicians of the ruling parties of the country.
In an interview with The Quint, the actress said that the country is led by political leaders who have no educational background. Kajol said that seasonal changes are very slow in a country like India and education has a big role in such changes but uneducated political leaders rule here.
“In a country like India, changes happen very slowly. We are steeped in our tradition. Education has a big role to play in making changes happen. But uneducated political leaders rule here. I’m sorry to say this. But it cannot be said, that is the truth,” said Kajol.
Kajol also spoke about her decision to take a break from films. She said that she does not agree with the terms “take a break” and “come back.”
“It’s all part of life,” she said. “Not making films doesn’t mean I’m just sitting around. That period of my life is not going to waste.”
