One of the biggest pop stars of the ’70s and four-time Grammy Award winning singer and actress Olivia Newton-John has died after a prolonged illness. Olivia’s husband John Easterling, 73, confirmed her death by sharing a post on social media. Singer died on Monday at his Southern California home.
John Easterling informed about the death of his wife by sharing a post on Olivia’s official Instagram account. John wrote, “Dame Olivia Newton-John passed away this morning in Southern California. She was with her family and friends during this time. We request everyone to please respect the privacy of the family during this difficult time” He further added that Olivia was suffering from breast cancer for the past 30 years. Olivia is survived by many people including husband John Easterling, daughter Chloe Lattonzi, sister Sarah Nutter John, brother Toby Newton John.
Was revealed to have cancer in 2018
Olivia Newton John revealed in September 2018 that she was undergoing treatment for cancer. This was her third cancer diagnosis, after battling breast cancer in her early 90s and in 2017. Due to his cancer, he also had to cancel shows.
