Madhya Pradesh Police has registered an FIR against Shaligram Garg, brother of Peethadhishwar Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham, after the video went viral on social media. Shaligram Garg has been accused of causing havoc in a Dalit youth’s wedding procession and threatening to kill him. The video of threatening with a pistol has also gone viral.
According to the information received, the Bamitha Police of Madhya Pradesh has registered a case under sections 294, 323, 506, 427 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) as well as the SC/ST Act. Earlier in the viral video, Shaligram Garg is seen waving a pistol under the influence of alcohol. Also commit indecency with the people present in the function. According to media reports, the video that has gone viral is from Gada village. The incident occurred during a wedding ceremony in the Ahirwar family, when Shaligram Garg, the younger brother of Dhirendra Shastri, arrived and instigated chaos. He began verbally assaulting individuals and is alleged to have brandished a pistol, threatening to harm others. Additionally, he reportedly misbehaved with the women present there and abused them.
According to Barati Harprasad Ahirwar, who attended the wedding, he and others were having a meal when Dhirendra Krishna Shastri’s younger brother Shaligram Garg arrived with his gang. Garg was smoking a cigarette and began admonishing the attendees, asking how they dared to play DJ and Rai music at the wedding. After this the fighting started.
The incident occurred on February 11 when Shaligram Garg caused a disturbance during the wedding celebration. Upon receiving a complaint from the bride’s father, the police constituted a special team to probe the video. The police have initiated a search for the accused after filing the case, but no arrests have been made so far.
