#BoycottToofan trends on Twitter after Right-Wing allege Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Toofaan’ for promoting ‘love jihad’

Ahead of the release of Farhan Akhtar’s film ‘Toofaan’, Boycott has started on social media. Right-Wing people are demanding to ban it by calling it against the culture. The film also stars Mrunal Thakar with Farhan. The movie is scheduled to release on July 16 on Amazon Prime Video. The film was earlier scheduled to release in October 2020 and then in May 2021 but was postponed. The director of the film is Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.

Farhan is one of the producers of ‘Toofan’. The film is the story of a boxer. Farhan Akhtar plays the role of a national-level boxer. Right-wing supporters are boycotting the film on social media. One user has written, Boycott every film which promotes love jihad and is Hindu phobic.

Haters have trolled it a lot by sharing the photo of the film. People have created nuisance against ‘Toofaan’ on Twitter with hashtags like #BoycottToofaan, #Boycottlovejihad. Some have called it against Indian culture and religion. One user wrote – Boycott every film which is against our culture. Some people have teased that Farhan Akhtar was vocal during the CAA movement.

Farhan plays a boxer in the film and Paresh Rawal is his coach. The story of the underworld is also shown in the film. Mrunal Thakur is opposite Farhan. This is the story of Mumbai’s slum area in which Farhan Akhtar has the option of choosing a path between the underworld or boxing.
