The Bombay High Court has delivered a major verdict in the Bollywood film actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The court has given this decision regarding the FIR of the actress Rhea Chakraborty lodged against the sisters of the late film actor. The Bombay High Court has quashed the FIR filed on behalf of Rhea Chakraborty against Sushant’s sister Mitu Singh. But refused to quash the FIR lodged against his second sister Priyanka Singh. After which Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Priyanka Singh got a big shock from the court.
The order on the Sushant case has been pronounced by a bench of Justices SS Shinde and MS Karnik. The court has found prima facie allegations against Priyanka Singh, as well as said that no obstruction should be created in the investigation against her. Justice Shinde, while narrating the January 7 verdict, also made a verbal observation, stating that from Sushant’s face, one can find out that he was innocent and quiet and a very decent person.
Rhea Chakraborty had filed FIR against Sushant Singh’s sisters
Rhea Chakraborty filed a case on the sisters of late actor Sushant at Bandra police station on 7 September. In her complaint, Rhea had accused Sushant’s sisters Priyanka and Mitu Singh that they had met Delhi doctor Tarun Kumar and had written a fake prescription for Sushant. Medicines were prescribed for Sushant without knowing his mental condition. She also alleged that the drugs were administered to Sushant on 8 June and the actor committed suicide on 14 June. Therefore, there are also allegations of forcing all three to commit suicide.
After this case filed by Rhea, Sushant’s sisters had approached the Bombay High Court and demanded the cancellation of Rhea’s FIR. Vikas Singh, advocate for Sushant’s sisters, had said in the petition that Rhea Chakraborty’s complaint is baseless and strict action should be taken against her. He also said that Rhea lodged an FIR only to divert attention from the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
It is worth mentioning that Sushant Singh Rajput died on 14 June 2020. The death of the late actor was initially described by the Mumbai Police as suicide. However, the family later expressed the possibility of his murder. In which after a long legal battle, the responsibility of investigating the case was handed over to the CBI. However, the CBI has not yet completed the investigation of the case. Neither has given information on any aspect related to the case.
