Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy has questioned the picture of Prime Minister Modi on the vaccine certificates given to people who got the covid vaccine. He said that the picture of Modi on the certificate is ridiculous. Swamy, sharing a news report published last month, tweeted whether the health ministry had taken prior permission of PM Modi to use his picture.
Subramanian Swamy on Thursday shared a news report from an English news website from last month on Twitter. The report claimed that Indians going abroad are facing problems due to the photograph of PM Modi on the vaccine certificate. Subramanian Swamy tweeted, ‘I think Modi’s photo on vaccination certificate is ridiculous. Did the Health Ministry take his prior permission?’
In the news report shared by Swamy, a woman traveling from India to Britain has been told that she had to suffer because of the vaccine certificate at Frankfurt Airport. A woman named Deepti Tamhane had told her experience in a Facebook post. In July she went to London. The woman had claimed that when she reached the airline’s customer service desk at Frankfurt airport and presented her documents, the airline’s representative was furious after seeing the vaccine certificate. He accused the woman of getting the vaccine certificate made by forgery as her picture did not match the picture printed on the certificate. The woman has told that the matter was resolved when she said that the picture was of her Prime Minister and the representative of the customer service desk started laughing.
Actually, there is a picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the certificate that the people who got the corona vaccine in the country are getting. In some non-BJP ruled states, the vaccine certificate has a picture of the Chief Ministers instead of PM Modi. For example, the vaccination certificate in West Bengal has the picture of CM Mamata Banerjee and in Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel.
