A very objectionable statement of Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Hriday Narayan Dixit has come to the fore. In a viral video, he is seen comparing Mahatma Gandhi’s short clothes to controversial actress Rakhi Sawant. The sad thing is that he is giving this address in an intellectual conference and the so called intellectual people are seen applauding his words.

The viral video is being told of a program in Unnao. The Speaker of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, the guest of the program, is seen saying in his address that “Gandhiji used to dress scantily. He used to wrap just a dhoti. The country called him Bapu. If somebody could become great just by taking their clothes off, then Rakhi Sawant would have become greater than Mahatma Gandhi.”
The controversial remarks soon went viral on social media, inviting a barrage of criticism.
Hriday Narayan Dixit is known as a litterateur, journalist and skilled politician. He has also been the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minister of Panchayati Raj in the State Government. He has held the responsibility of different positions in BJP from district president to state vice-president, member of national working committee, chief spokesperson and many other fronts and cells.
