The Bharat bandh called by the farmers is seeing a big impact across the country. Farmers and workers of opposition parties are blocking the national highway to rail traffic. The objective of all is the same that the central government withdraw all three agricultural bills.
During the Bharat Bandh, a groom going to pick up the bride in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, got stuck in a jam. When asked if the groom stuck in the jam, there was a problem, the groom gave a brilliant reply, saying, “No problem, I am also a farmer.”
It may be noted that in the states where BJP governments are there, the police are arresting the opposition leaders. Opposition parties have given their full support to Bharat Bandh.
Protests are taking place across the country. Its widespread impact is visible in UP, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. In many places road and rail traffic has also been blocked.
Samajwadi Party workers stopped the train in Allahabad. In Bengal, Odisha, the Left Party activists have launched a rail roko campaign.
National Highway 9 has been completely stopped by farmers. Farmers say that only ambulances will be allowed to go from here.
Farmers say that the government will have to withdraw all three agricultural laws or else the movement will intensify further. Rail traffic will be stopped throughout the country.
