During the hearing on a case in Patna High Court, Justice Sandeep Kumar of the High Court got angry, the video of which is going viral. The judge lashed out at the bullying of the nexus of land mafia and Police. Actually, the matter is about demolishing a house.
According to the judge’s statement in the video, the house has been illegally demolished with the help of bulldozers. In anger, Justice Sandeep Kumar said, “Now the bulldozers have started running here too. After all, who gave so much power to the police station. If it is so, then use the bulldozers on the court as well. They have made a spectacle that they will break someone’s house with a bulldozer.”
The judge also said that the Janata Darbar, the police and the CO are jointly getting the houses demolished by taking bribe. Now everyone will withdraw five lakh each from their pocket.
In the video, Justice Sandeep Kumar’s bench, while reading the petition, said that all the officers have collusion with one or the other land mafia.
After reading this, justice Kumar said that by marking the land disputes, the police station itself has been given the power to execute? The judge said that if you have a problem then go to the police station. Get someone’s house demolished by giving money. Shut down the civil court. We are here to protect you not to do wrong.
The bench orally noted that the victim has given her stand on the manner in which the house in question was demolished in violation of the powers of the court.
The petitioner’s counsel for the victim informed the court that a false case has been registered against the petitioner and his family members for pressurizing them to vacate the land at the behest of land mafia. The bench assured the petitioner that it was for the safety of the petitioner and not to harass the petitioner. Consequently, the court stayed the FIR and restrained the police from arresting the petitioner and his family members in the matter.
Justice Sandeep Kumar said, “5-5 lakh rupye dilwaynge hum, ghar tudwane ka…personal pocket se. Ab police or CO milkar ghar tudwa raha hai ghoos lekar…Patna mein land mafia ke jo jameen kabza mein aap (referring to police officers) jo agent bane hue hain na… this has to be stopped.”
Meanwhile, netizens have hailed Justice Kumar as a hero as they urged other judges to take a leaf out of his book.
Filmmaker and senior journalist Vinod Kapri has shared the video and tweeted, “Thousands of salutes should reach to the Patna High Court Judge.”
Along with this, the court said that everyone will come to the court on December 8 with their procession. Court directs Superintendent of Police, Patna East Circle Officer, Patna City and Officer-in-Charge, Agamkuan Police Station to appear before the court in person.
