Bollywood actor Anupam Kher faced incessant trolling on Friday after he made an indirect attack on Supreme Court as the apex court made strong statements against Nupur Sharma during the hearing held on Friday in the Prophet Mohammad remarks case of suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma. The Supreme Court reprimanded Nupur Sharma and said that she should apologize to the whole country.

Questioning the top court and its judge’s credentials Anupam Kher, who is often viewed as being close to the Narendra Modi-led government, without naming anyone tweeted, “Your Honour! Do something honourable about your HONOUR!” Within moments of Kher’s response, citizens took to Twitter and trolled the actor mercilessly.
His tweet instantly went viral and attracted a group of Twitterati who called out Anupam and accused him of being ‘hypocrite’. The majority of the netizens accused the actor of praising the government and calling his tweet ‘contempt of court’.

In fact, Nupur Sharma, who was the spokesperson of BJP, had made objectionable remarks on Prophet Mohammad in a TV channel debate. All the Muslim countries opposed what she said. Seeing the matter increasing, BJP suspended Nupur Sharma from the party. Nupur Sharma apologized for her statement and said that she takes back her words.
Cases were registered against Nupur’s statement in many states of the country. Nupur Sharma had filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding transfer of all the cases to Delhi. The Supreme Court said that she should go to the High Court.
