Azerbaijan and Armenia War: The Russia-Ukraine war is not ending and fears of a military confrontation between Taiwan and China are increasing, meanwhile, the war between the Central Asian country of Azerbaijan and the neighboring country of Armenia have erupted. Azerbaijan has bombed many areas of Armenia with drones. It occupied many areas of Nagorno-Karabakh.
Azerbaijan says it has retaliated by attacking. He destroyed many weapons of Armenia with the drone received from Turkey. There are also reports of the death of some soldiers of both the countries in the clash.
In fact, there has been a long-standing conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh area. The two countries have once again clashed over this. Russia has alleged that Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire in the disputed area of Nagarno-Karabakh. Earlier, Azerbaijan said that three of its soldiers were killed by armed groups in Armenia. In response, it attacked.
Both neighboring countries were part of the erstwhile Soviet Union. When the Soviet Union collapsed in the 1980s, the two countries parted ways. Azerbaijan and Armenia are close to Iran and Turkey and they are also close to Europe. In 1991 also there was a clash between the two countries. Then Russia had made a ceasefire between the two. But even after that many times there are clashes between the two countries.
6500 people were killed in 2020
There was a war between these two neighboring countries in 2020. More than 6,500 people were killed in the six-week war. Even then Russia had made a ceasefire. Russian peacekeepers are stationed in the disputed areas of both countries, yet a renewed conflict broke out between the two countries.
Pakistan and Turkey are helping Azerbaijan
Russia has once again engaged in efforts for peace between the two countries. At the same time, the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan says that its army has captured the strategically important mountainous areas of Armenia. On the other hand, Karabakh alleges that Azerbaijan killed two of our soldiers and wounded 14. People of Armenian origin live in Karabakh, however, legally Azerbaijan has authority here. Turkish and Pakistani army is also continuously helping Azerbaijan. The latest attack has been done through Turkish drones only.
