Actress Alia Bhatt has responded to the recent remark made by actress Kangana Ranaut on Alia and her upcoming film “Gangubai Kathiawadi”. At a recent event in Kolkata, Alia responded with a quote from the Bhagavad Gita. ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ is scheduled to release this week on Friday (February 25).
Let us tell you that ever since the trailer of Alia Bhatt’s film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ was released, Kangana has targeted her. A few days ago, Kangana shared a post on her Insta story, in which she called Alia Bhatt ‘Papa’s ki pari’ without naming her and also said that Rs 200 crore will be ‘burnt’ at the box office this Friday. At the same time, Alia Bhatt has now responded to these comments of Kangana.
Alia Bhatt was recently in Kolkata to launch a new song ‘Meri Jaan’ from ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film is based on a chapter from writer S Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. Along with Alia Bhatt, the film also stars Ajay Devgn, Vijay Raaz, Seema Pahwa and Shantanu Maheshwari.
Asked about the comment made by Kangana Ranaut here, Alia replied with a verse from Bhagwat Geeta. According to the report of news agency PTI, Alia Bhatt said, “Lord Krishna had said in the Gita that inaction is an action. That’s all I want to say.”
Without taking Alia’s name, Kangana Ranaut wrote on her Instagram story, βThis Friday 200cr will be burnt to ashes at the box office … for a papa (movie mafia daddy) ki pari (who likes to keep a British passport) because papa wants to prove that romcom bimbo can act… biggest drawback of the film is wrong casting…yeh nahi sudhrenge (these people won’t change) no wonder screens are going to South and Hollywood films … Bollywood is destined for doom jab tak movie mafia has power.β
‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ is based on Gangubai, the queen of Mumbai mafia, who was sold by her own husband on a kotha (sex work). It stars Ajay Devgan, Vijay Raaz, Jim Sarbh, Shantanu Maheshwari and Huma Qureshi.
