Agnipath Scheme Row: Protesters attacked Deputy Chief Minister Renu Devi’s residence in Bettiah to protest against the Agnipath scheme. Renu Devi’s son said, “Our residence in Bettiah was attacked. We suffered a lot. She (Renu Devi) is in Patna.”
Students’ protest at Bettiah Railway Station in West Champaran has turned violent. Students have vandalized the protest against the Agneepath scheme here. During this, a large number of police, including SDM, SDPO, remained silent at the railway station. Due to the protest of the students, there was a stampede-like situation at the railway station for some time.
Apart from this, the house of Bihar BJP President Sanjay Jaiswal has also been attacked. According to a news channel, an attempt has been made to burn down his house.
Efforts have been made to burn Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal’s house by sprinkling kerosene oil and mobil. The attack on Bettiah’s ancestral residence was confirmed by Deputy Chief Minister Renu Devi herself while discussing with a private news channel. He said that his ancestral house has been attacked. Vehicles have been vandalized. He said that students are being instigated.
