There was a stir in the politics of Jharkhand when a video of a woman came out, in which she has allegedly accused BJP leaders of coercing and threatening her.

The media tried to contact the victim, but when asked about the issue, she disconnected the phone. An attempt to contact the CM office also failed. The victim filed a complaint on October 21, 2013, which she withdrew on October 30 of the same year. Sources said that now some unknown persons have filed a case in the Bombay High Court.
BJP MP from Godda in Jharkhand, Nishikant Dubey, retweeted the video of the alleged victim and challenged Mumbai Police to take action against him. In the tweet, he said, “I accept this challenge. If Hemant Soren has courage, he can file a case against me and investigate. The public wants to know the truth of the 2013 case.”
However, highly placed sources of Jharkhand Police said, “They can investigate only when the victim files a complaint and the police will not register a case based on any social media tweet and video.”
Sources in the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) said that all this is being done to destabilize the state government and disturb the coalition government with the Congress.
However, sources in Jharkhand say that after the merger of Babulal Marandi’s party with the BJP, there has been a rift in the BJP. Many BJP leaders wanted to get the post of Leader of the Opposition, which was given to Marandi.
