Television actor and host Karan Wahi was subjected to hate and death threats after sharing a ‘sarcastic’ post on Naga Babas at Kumbh Mela amid the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
In fact, Karan Wahi posted a post on Instagram on gathering of Naga sadhus for a ‘shahi snan’ (Naga Sadhus holy dip Kumbh Mela) at Har ki Pauri in Haridwar amidst coronavirus, after which he is now receiving hate and death threats. Karan Wahi wrote on his Instagram story, ‘Isn’t there a culture like work from home for Naga Babas? As if taking water from the Ganges and taking a bath at home?’

On this, some people attacked Karan Wahi and started sending hate messages, screenshots of which actor has shared on his Instagram story. Many users have accused Karan Wahi of hurting Hindu sentiments.


At the same time Karan Wahi wrote, ‘So I am getting abuses and hate messages. Threats to kill are also being received. Wow, people of India. If being a Hindu means ignoring the protocol of Covid, then many of you need to read what it is to be a Hindu.’

According to reports, Corona has been severely wreaked havoc at the ongoing royal Kumbh Mela in Haridwar. In addition to 102 pilgrims, 20 sadhus have been found to be Kovid positive.
