The married couple defended their 42-year age difference in a video on TikTok after their followers accused the wife of 27 years of keeping tabs on her 69-year-old husband’s bank balance and US green card. Jackie, 27, born in the Philippines, and Dave, 69, from the US, met on an internet dating website in 2016 while they were in Cebu City. They have 32,900 followers and 246,400 likes on TikTok.
The first step was taken by Dave and asked Jackie if he would like to have coffee with him, to which the girl agreed. They have been married for more than 5 years. Dave recently said in a TikTok video that Jackie and he first met through an internet site called Cherryblossoms. He was in Cebu in the Philippines when he was using that website and he looked at Jackie’s profile.
Dave continued, “I sent her a message saying I liked her profile and I was interested in meeting her. I gave her my phone number, and the next day we met at Starbucks and she gave me chocolate, then we went for lunch.” In his video, Dave said that Jackie was very shy at that time. He said, “We could feel there was enough connection to get back together again. So Jackie and I met a few more times before moving back to America. It was the beginning of a wonderful relationship, which is still going strong.”
