54-year-old woman run over by Vande Bharat Express train near Anand in Gujarat: Railway Police

The Vande Bharat Express train, which was started shortly after the Prime Minister Modi gave the green signal, is facing frequent accidents. It has been reported that a woman died after being hit by Vande Bharat train in Anand today.

According to the preliminary information received, a woman has died in an accident while crossing the road on the railway track near Anand. At present, the local police have reached the place of the incident and are trying to send the dead body of the woman for further action.

The victim, identified as Beatrice Archibald Peter, a resident of Ahmedabad, was apparently visiting a relative in Anand when the incident happened. The train, which was on its way to Mumbai Central from Gandhinagar Capital station, does not have a halt at Anand.

Even before this, the Vande Bharat train met with an accident for the third time near Atul in Valsad. When the cow collided with the train, the front part of the train was broken and the engine of the train was also damaged.

It is important know that before this, after the country’s highest speed ‘Vande Bharat Express’ suffered an accident for the first time on October 6, one or another accident has been happening continuously.

On October 6, a herd of buffaloes came in front of the train near Vatwa-Maninagar station in Ahmedabad at 11:18 pm. Because of this, the front part of the train was damaged. After which it was also said that the train should be repaired and more vigilance should be maintained. However, looking at this frequent accident, now it is being discussed that this train needs to be alerted as well as urgently.

This is the third Vande Bharat train in the country. Earlier Vande Bharat train was running between New Delhi and Varanasi and between New Delhi and Mata Vaishnodevi Katra. This train goes from Gandhinagar to Mumbai via Ahmedabad. At the same time it returns to Gandhinagar on the route. Western Railway is making preparations to increase train speed to 160 kmph on Gandhinagar-Ahmedabad route.
