The cyber cell of Gautam Budh Nagar, UP has arrested 5 people who duped people of lakhs of rupees by creating a fake donation website of Ram Janmabhoomi. All of them were cheating people of lakhs of rupees by creating a fake website in the name of Ram Janmabhoomi Trust. It has been revealed in the investigation that all the accused are residents of Delhi, but many of them are associated with the business of software.
Noida Police has revealed that Ashish, Naveen, Sumit, Amit Jha and Suraj, living in New Ashok Nagar, Delhi, together created a website a few months back. By putting the details of fake accounts on the fake website, these people appealed to the common people to donate for the construction of the temple. On this, hundreds of people deposited lakhs of rupees in the account given on the website through online transactions.
Noida Police is now getting information about how much amount has been collected through this website. Ram Janmabhoomi Trust complained to the cyber cell when they came to know about the fraud being done in the name of original Ram Janmabhoomi Trust in Ayodhya. The team investigating on this arrested five accused on Monday evening.
According to the police, five mobile phones, one laptop, two SIM cards, 50 Aadhar cards and two thumb impression machines have been recovered from the accused. Police is interrogating the accused and who are involved in the fraud. Police officials suspect that more people may be involved in this gang.
