Stanford University releases the list of the top two percent of scientists in the world. Researchers from Jamia have been included in this list. This list of Stanford University has been prepared under the supervision of Professor John Ioannidis and it has been released recently.
A team of scientists from Stanford University has prepared a database of the world’s top scientists. Citations of research papers and a variety of indicators have been used to create the database. In the list prepared, ‘Career Research Papers’ and ‘Last One Year’ research papers have been shown on the basis of separate data. The career research paper is updated by the end of 2021. While the list of research papers of the ‘last one’ year contains data for the research papers of the year 2021.

A total of 22 field scientists are present in this list of Stanford University. These scientists come from a total of 176 sub-fields. Stanford University has released two different lists. The first list is based on ‘Career Research Paper’ in which seven professors from Jamia have made it. At the same time, 21 professors of Jamia have secured a place in the list of research papers of ‘last one year’. This list of Stanford University includes the names of more than one lakh scientists from all over the world. The selection is based on the percentage rank of 2% or above in the sub-field.
Jamia Vice Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar said on this great success, it is an acknowledgment of the high level of research being done at Jamia. This recognition places the University on the Global Map of Excellence and is a matter of great pride for the Institute.

Jamia Prof. Imran Ali, Prof. Mr. Sushant Ghosh, Prof. Tauqeer Ahmed, Prof. Sharif Ahmed and Prof Tariqul Islam have found place in both the prestigious lists (Career-Long and Single Year 2021). Whereas in the list of top 2 percent scientists in 2021, Professor Abid Haleem, Professor Haseeb Ahsan, Professor Mohammad Javed, Professor Atiqur Rehman, Professor Rafiq Ahmed, Dr. Imtiaz Hasan, Professor Sharf Elahi Siddiqui, Professor Saif Ali Chowdhury, Professor Tabrez Alam Khan, Dr. Musheer Ahmed, Dr. Khalid Raza, Dr. Arshad Noor Siddiqui, Prof. Fakir Mohammad, Dr. Ufana Riaz, Dr. Ehteshmul Haque and Dr. Rana Tabassum have been included. Professor Ankan Sen and Prof Amir Azam are only in the list of top 2% of career scientists.
A publicly available database of over 100,000 top scientists provides standardized information on citations, h-index and citations in various author positions and a composite indicator. Jamia Millia Islamia is ranked 6th in India among all Indian universities ranked by the prestigious Times Ranking, while last year the university was ranked 7th.
